Portus recognises that the onus for both deciding contribution levels and making investment fund choices has switched from Employer to Employee, due mainly to the move away from Occupational Pension Schemes to Group Personal Pension Plans and Stakeholder Pension Plans. Our comprehensive Pension Planning service recognises the importance of employee communication, including the need to explain the value of their Total Reward Package, and includes:

Online HR for SME's - including Total Reward Statements  


To meet the needs of SME’s we offer, in partnership with Octopus-hr, a low-cost online system which provides both an HR and an Employee Benefits platform that can be used by those responsible for HR and by employees and managers for ‘self-service’ access to company or personal information, including Total Reward Statements, and to details of people they manage. It focuses on essential HR, minimising routine administration whilst maximising communication of benefit details.

Flexible Benefits  


A Flexible Benefits scheme allows employees to select their own benefits package within defined parameters. Employers allocate a benefit allowance – often known as a ‘Flex Fund’ - to be spent on the range of benefits provided, and employees can upgrade or downgrade existing benefits as well as choose new ones.

Online Flexible Benefit Administration  


Our software provides Total Benefits and a full online Flexible Benefits administration platform, with facilities ranging from electronic updates to all providers to online benefit selection. The system can be tailored to meet your requirements and is available at a fraction of the design and implementation costs associated with systems offered by the large benefit consultancies.
